Colombo — Five years of shipping products, co-founding companies, and working with clients across nine countries — shaped by incredible friends, family, and teammates who believed in the same vision from day one.

Today, I work at IXD Labs — a global design & engineering firm — and FitConnect, a fitness ecosystem redefining how gym owners, members, and coaches connect. Both built from the ground up alongside a team I'm grateful for.

The shared mission is simple: technology should improve lives. Whether it's a gym member tracking their fitness goals or a business undergoing digital transformation, every product ships with that north star in mind.

Colombo —It started with a passion for computers and a university project. While studying Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Moratuwa, Anjala and a group of friends began taking on real-world software projects — learning fast, shipping fast, and building a reputation along the way.

After graduating with a BSc (Hons) in 2022, that informal team became something more formal: IXD Labs, a design & engineering services firm. What began as a small local outfit quickly grew into a multi-continent operation, serving clients across Switzerland, Singapore, UAE, Australia, Canada, the USA, and beyond.

But building for others wasn't enough. The team had their own problem to solve — and FitConnect was born. A full fitness ecosystem connecting gym owners, members, and coaches, it became IXD Labs' homegrown product — is a story the whole team is still writing together.
